Design Dilemma Dining Room Living Room

Help with Great Room

Is it possible to combine a casual dining space and a family room in an open space with dimensions 21' x 21'? The great room is adjacent to the kitchen. The house does not have a breakfast nook, and I would like a casual dining area in addition to the kitchen island seating.

I still have not moved in, but this is more or less the floor plan of the space. I’m open to any ideas of how I should lay out the casual dining and living space given that there is no breakfast nook. I'm thinking of putting a TV between the windows to the right. Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

The rest of the lighting arrived today....poor delivery man had to hand truck the 2 big ones down my very long driveway. Crossing my fingers they can install in the next few weeks!!! Get yourself some graph paper, draw a plan to scale, and move furniture cutouts around. It's going to be tight, and your final configuration will determine what size furniture you can accommodate. Two possibilities below:

Find your original house plans, post the entire first floor as a jpeg. What's at the front of the house? Living and dining room? What's on the lanai? From the looks of it, that's your breakfast space : ) If you want a good looking space.

Hi, I'm Preksha and I worked out a mock up so you could visualize this clearly. Please ignore the wall opposite the TV, that is where your kitchen would be. The TV can be placed between the windows with your dining to one side and a living area off to the other side. You could add a recliner/ accent chair by the window to create a reading spot.
