It would not be sufficient for your range. I went through this recently in my kitchen reno specifically with a Vent A Hood insert. Your vent insert/hood need to be larger than your range is wide. Vent A Hood’s website has a guide for choosing what size vent your need for the BTU output and width of your range. Oh, and make double sure your cabinet/hood maker has the vents factory dimensions so the insert will fit. Ask me how I know....

The inserts are sized to fit within stove dimension cabinetry, but for best results in capture of rising and expanding cooking plumes, the insert entry aperture should overlap the pans by the expansion angle (e.g., 10 degrees from vertical). Three inches beyond the stove edges in width is a nominal outside width for hoods, so it may do for the insert cabinet. However, all stove installation requirements related to combustible materials within various distances and directions need to be observed.

Front-to-back distances of many inserts tend to be somewhat shy of overlapping the pans in the front; in some cases greasy cooking will need to be performed on rear burners.

For good containment of the hottest plumes, the air flow should be 90 ft/min at the hood aperture. This leads to a requirement of 90 CFM/sq. ft. of aperture. Due to system pressure losses, this requires a blower rated significantly higher in zero static pressure volumetric flow rate.
