The island matches the molding above the cabinets so that has to stay the graphite color.

Does the kitchen open up to another area? I prefer it when all the trim matches throughout the house.

That said, I don't think I would paint it white, for as much as I like white trim.

The black above the white cabinets is atypical. Modern cabinets w glass doors and mosaic backsplash conflict w a thick band of black across the top which dominates and takes away from the nice soft modern look.....the pendants even get lost in the shuffle. Island tables and seating don't have to match cabinet trim...,who told you that must be?

Agree, that looks very odd the black trim at top of cabinets. Paint white, then window frame white.

The black trim above the cabinets looks...odd. I get it matches the island, but people do two toned all the time and matching the trim to it isn't necessary. The vent hood also goes with the island so really you don't need the trim.

As for the window trim, I'd go white. I think going for black would draw more attention to the window frame rather than the view outside.

Paint the window and cabinet trim white. When I look at your kitchen, I first notice your black cabinet trim. I'm pretty sure that's not where you want the eye to go.

White for all trim!!

I agree completely about the crown molding above the cabinets however there is no changing that. That’s my husbands favorite part of the kitchen. So that stays. But thank you for the suggestion of white around window. That was my thought too.

Since the graphite stays, then I would want the window trim graphite too.

White windows then. You don't want to bring another color (wood trim) into the mix.

The darker trim looks better to me.
