Sorry Ken. Having trouble getting photos to post. I'll keep trying.

Nootkatensis. I ripped out some large bushes that surrounded it so it should fill in. Large Japanese Maple which will be cut down soon.

I guess I will never know why some photos are tilted over and some upside down. I had to take more pictures with my old phone. The first 3 pictures worked by cropping them.

Thanks. I have a few small ones that are similar, but they are not going to end up as nice. It's nice that an all green can be impressive. I'm hoping it that it gets more stems in the Spring. Who knows? ,

tsuga…. all I can say is WOW!

Tsuga, the top notch is usually tapered to a point and drooping over more (not as Bushy). When it was younger it was very pronounced (proportionally) for many years. It had a slimmer pyramidal shape when younger as well. The 'droop' was so pronounced I wondered if it would straighten outI looked at some Obtusa photos: the foliage and shape don't match up very well. Maybe if the sun comes out later I can get some better photos of the top notch. Maybe I should stop waiting and cut down the JM as well. You are definitely the expert but I don't think it is Obtusa.

It definitely doesn't have the drooping branches and long graceful needles.

Thanks Sherry. Only the Ivory Coasts and the Brother Stefans are new. No real bargains for either. Ivory Coast were a good size but Green Mountain took forever to deliver them. All the rest I've had for years.

LOL I only know it is not a nootka...and that obtusa has those whorls of needles but it could even be an arborvitae. True experts are on the Conifer Forum.
