Here the 4 inch recessed lights are turned up as bright as they will go. Is there any option that won’t glare as much?

Normally (I suppose) one uses the light design parameters to determine where direct rays go and hence whether they glare or not. Ideally, the direct edge rays are controlled so that they are visible only when looking upward but not looking horizontally or down at a counter.

Your cans don't have the part installed yet that interfaces between the can and the ceiling sheetrock (or whatever the ceiling will be). These are the parts that determine edge angles of the illumination beam. So at this point, the glare angle can only be estimated from the lamp assembly data often found in the lamp assembly catalog.

Why are these lights even installed before the Sheetrock?? This is not how this is done. Rough electric, drywall, finish electric.
