Hope for ripening?

I bought a nice sized (~2 ft) Celeste this past spring and repotted into a larger container. It grew well, added about a foot, then it surprised me by setting close to a dozen figs; I debated removing them but left them on. These grew to the size of marbles (like, shooters, but a few smaller) but haven't changed since July.

The weather has been hot and dry - much less rain than normal. I've water the fig once or twice a week as needed, and fertilized a few times.

We are getting into mid September when the high temps should be in the 75-80 range, but we are having another week in the 90s.

Do you think that there is any chance that they will decide to finish maturing before we get seasonal weather, or should I just pick them off now?
