Not a French speaker, but the Google translator pronounces Jaune Flamme as "Dzhoon Flameee" and a Czech grower has pointed out that Stupice in Czech is sold under the name Stupicke which comes out in the translator as Stoopits-keh, though I have seen others say it is pronounced Stoopitch-kah

Since I'm not too likely to be talking to French or Czech speakers that would be bothered by my terrible mispronunciation, I just say Stoopis and Dzhauna Fla-may as read by an ignorant English speaker, and am happy to accept any corrections.

I asked about Stupice years ago and got an answer I considered authoritative. Here's a copy:

When I look at the name, that 's exactly what I see, stew-piss. According to Carolyn in her book, Stupice is pronounced stoo-PEECH-ka. Sorry Dave, why it's not spelled in English like it sounds, I don't know. Maybe Carolyn does. I never understood how it's pronounced like that, but since the tomato is from Czechoslovakia they must have different pronunciations, and I'm guessing that the name probably looks totally different written in Czech, and Stupice is just the English transliteration. I grow them almost every year.
