If I'm seeing the photo correctly, the first looks like what they call Colonial base molding. Agree w/ millworkman that you can have it all duplicated, if necessary.

You can use a tool called a metal contour gauge to take a perfect outline to the place where you will have the millwork made

I agree on the baseboard now that I look better. It is definitely thicker than the currently available base board it is OG Base. The casing I am still not sure of and would need to see a profile.

I'm trying to get information to help the woodworker. He probably knows what you've described, but my previous experience with other woodworkers makes me want to be doubly sure.

So. If I understand what you're telling me:

He needs a shaper with cutters rather than a router bit that has a colonial base profile. This link to a router bit best approximates the contour, except for the rounded edge: https://www.toolstoday.com/v-11336-49537.html (#49537 shown in the profiles picture). I'm in the process of measuring a scrap piece to get the dimensions.

A contour gauge (https://www.lowes.com/pd/General-Tools-Instruments-6-in-Stainless-Steel-Contour-Gauge/1016371) can replicate the outline. I/he can use that gauge to compare with the scrap piece.

Anything else I need to know?

No the colonial or OG base should be available just about anywhere. A lumberyard or mill shop would be required for the shaper and the casing if it cannot be located already made as a carpenter is not going to invest thousands of dollars for a small bit of moulding.

It looks similar to one we just made.
