Could you offer some more information about the product that is defective? Perhaps a link? It is impossible to tell what the issue is with the shaw product in your home without knowing which product you have.

Shaw has agreed to replace the flooring. My question is the overall quality of Shaw products. We are looking at their new product waterproof wood flooring Floorte but are concerned with the companies quality of products. We invested over $20,000 in flooring in our new home and need to replace all but 4 rooms its a nightmare I don't want have to go through this again. I want to be sure we get a quality product.

The Floorte Waterproof Hardwood = thin layer of wood veneer over vinyl/SPC core. The amount of hardwood you are looking at is EXTREMELY small.

The plank is 7.5mm thick (5/16"). That is a decent plank for vinyl...but it is very thin for wood of any sort. They do not state how thick the wear layer is...which tells me it is nominal (very little).

Do not think you are purchasing hardwood. You are purchasing vinyl that just happens to have a layer of real wood glued to the top.

Read the warranty listed below: The highlight/mention the clicking and popping...which they state is possible and normal (not something they will replace = you have to live with it).

You will notice the installation clearly states that excess sunlight and/or very high heat (140 F) will cause problems. That means this is a high end VINYL...not wood.

What are the chances you will get your money back?

@Trudi Pearson what product did you end up replacing your flooring with? We are getting the Floorte installed in our new home and I'm looking for feedback.
