The Pilgrim, a David Austin climber rose

The Pilgrim (AUSwalker/Gartenarchitekt Günther Schulze), a climber rose bred by David C. H. Austin (UK, before 1991). The 2.75-inch very full blooms have yellow inside and lighter outer petals with mild, spice, tea fragrance. This rose is growing slowly in my garden but each bloom is super beautiful.

Nice photos.

Similar to my Pilgrim--not very bloomiferous, but lovely when it occasionally gets around to blooming.

Another beautiful collection of rose photos! I noted that you said slowly growing in your description. Curious how slow? I planted this one and it is fine, just not showing any indication of any height yet. I even looked it up again to see if I made a mistake on its growth habit. I really like the cheerfulness of the colours of this rose.

HalloBlondie, I planted both Bathsheba and The Pilgrim in similar locations, and Bathsheba is 3 x the size of The Pilgrim in width. Helen
