Supper Time on Thursday

I am having leftovers for my supper, youngest daughter gave me some mashed potatoes and chicken and noodles, oldest daughter gave me some grilled chicken and I have some leftover three bean salad so that is what I plan on having. I will have iced tea also. What are you having for your main meal today?

I co-hosted a tea party for my girlfriends yesterday. Tonight, we will be eating party leftovers - ham/cheddar, roast beef/pepper jack and turkey/cranberry wraps along with deviled eggs, prosciutto wrapped asparagus tips and spinach/strawberry/red onion salad. If either of us want something sweet after dinner, there are cookies left over from the party as well.

Leftover roast chicken, fresh picked yellow squash and sweet mini peppers, and melon.

I used a seasoning mix from Spain on the chicken (meant for meat, I knew I had a chicken one but couldn't find it) and didn't care for it all that much. I was surprised, but possibly because it wasn't the chicken blend after all; I have use the fish blend a few times on salmon and quite liked it.

Going to a meeting this evening. Will either go out after or pick up some dinner on the way home. No cooking tonight!

Supper? I'm hardly thinking past breakfast as, having slept too late, and having to provide cookies for the old guys` cookies, coffee and conversation group this morning, breakfast was a sandwich and banana in the car ... and some cookies!

    Nuthin' since.

So I'm looking forward to potato and onion stew, with some added soup, and chicken, with mixed veg. as a side, then some yogurt, and finishing with cookies, coffee and perhaps some pie to fill my empty void.

    Enjoy your evening, all.

I made 20 bacon and egg breakfast burritos. Froze them. We're eating left over burgers for dinner. :0)

Yum, a nice BLT sounds good - if only DH ate them so i wasn't making one for just myself and something else for him. Raised on a farm and DH's father put tomatoes in everything - and still he doesn't enjoy them raw ;:(

I had thought about something like a ziti bake tonight but got busy and didn't get it put together. Tomorrow. Tonight, breakfast. We're having fresh eggs from our friends pet 'girls', waffles, bacon.

I was out running errands so I stopped and had a tuna melt and a salad. The tuna melt was great. I'm picky about tuna. The tuna wasn't wet or sloppy, nice amount of jack and cheddar and perfectly grilled sourdough.

We don't cook Fridays. It all started when the kids were young and Friday was pizza night Could only afford to eat "out" 1 day per week!

Kids have been gone pretty much 20 years, but Hey! I need a night off once in awhile!

We happened to be in a town doing some errands and picked up Lombardi's BBQ ribs, baked beans and salad! Mmmmmm!

We only get it a couple times a year, but oh JOY it is good! Feeds the 2 of us for a couple of days!
