Hi,

We live in central Massachusettts; zone 5b and recently had a stone patio built.

Two retaining walls are being built on the side yard this week to reduce the angle of the slope and help with run-off until a lawn is established.

Once the walls are built, the yard will be re-graded and loam will be spread.

My question is; what do I do this year as far as a lawn is concerned in the new loam areas.

I planned on seeding with Jonathan Green's Black Beauty Ultra; but now that is so late in the season to spread seed I am looking for ideas and recommendations.

Should I still seed and hope for a late frost or am I just wasting my time and money?
