First, is that a different rose to the left? It looks like multi-sprays, compared to the single blooms on your no id rose.
Second, definitely NOT Dolly Parton or Fragrant Cloud, which are orange hued. Ingrid Bergman glimmers like red velvet and has no scent. My Chrysler Imperial is dark burgundy, not red.

Yes, the one on the left back there is a different bush and needs to be ignored (it was the rootstock for another rose).

I admit that some of the ones on my list may not be as close to it as others, but I tried to search for as many possibilities as possible. The cultivars that (from pictures) at least LOOK the most similar to it to me include Mister Lincoln, Loving Memory, Lasting Love, Royal William/Fragrant Charm, or Precious Platinum/Red Star, or *perhaps* Kardinal. I wonder if there could be others cultivars that it could be, though?

I would imagine that it would've had to be a fairly well-known (and well-distributed) variety, having made it's way to a little hardware store in the middle-of-nowhere in the early 90's...

A couple more photos for good measure. The roses were a very solid red; when the petals faded and dropped, though, they did turn a little "pink"

I feel I'm looking at 'Alec's Red' there.... you might want to check that one out.... I believe it was available in your country at that time.... the bloom form and positioning on the bush and I think the foliage, rings true for me... plus your other descriptions... but I'm not familiar with most of those other reds you mention...
