Kitchen counter help

So we are building a house and have tenatively picked Aristokraft Flagstone color Benton Cabinets. The builder is limiting wall paint colors to Repose Gray or Accesible Beige, so we are going Repose Gray. Which is fine as I currently have lazy gray in current home and like that repose is a bit warmer.

Flagstone Cabinet Color (not our layout but very close)

For counters I have it narrowed down to three hopefully and was looking for advice. If we go granite I love the movement and color of Silver Cloud. And if we go quartz they use MSI but only have some of the colors so looking at Calcatta Classique or Calcatta Vincenza. Ideally I want the counter material to go all the way up to cabinets as backsplash as well.

Silver cloud granite

Floors are Shaw LVP Lazio Plus in Riva, maybe still not sure on those as well.

Too many decisions, we did this three years ago and I swore never again and yet here we are building another home. Ugh. Feel free to post opinions, the only other thing we could change is the cabinets are also offered in a Burlap color but DH doesn't care for that.

I think one of the quartzes would look better with such dark cabinets and floors. I think the Calacatta Classique would look particularly pretty extending as a backsplash. I know real Calacatta marble slab backsplashes are exquisite so I am imagining a replica quartz would also be nice.

I like the granite, I think it’s more interesting but if your not going to be able to pick your actual slab it could be risky. It’s a natural material and every slab is different, so there’s no guarantee what yours will look like. Without being to see the actual slab a man made quartz is probably safer bet.

Like the Calacatta Vincenzo. The floor choice has a lot of yellow . With the cabinet pick I'd get a wood look that has browns and some reds....very nice with the cabinet tone. As a suggestion see if you can get some wall cabs with glass doors to alleviate an all dark feel. Good luck !

I would choose the Vincenza. Love the dark cabinets.

With those cabinets, I would choose either of the quartz counters, and I would seriously rethink that floor. Cabinets and floor both show a lot of grain, and I don't think the colors will play nicely.

    Here's the floor you chose:

    Maybe a slate LVT instead:

Floors are originally hardwood and we don't want that again with dogs. The only lvp they offer is the Shaw Lazio Plus line which are all wood lookalikes. Many of the options in it are very dark so we are trying to go on the lighter side without going gray. I feel like repose gray walls and the gray undertone of cabinets a gray floor would be too much gray.

Riva is more neutral in person not such a yellow tone. Feel free to Google Lazio plus and check out colors to suggest another. This is a great room setup so floor in kitchen is same as dining and living room.

Groveraxle I am liking the gray slate look sadly we are stuck with either real hardwood or the lvp wood lookalike.

As far as granite goes we should be able to pick the slab. So far comments for all three so guess I at least am on the right track. Appliances will be stainless and unsure on hardware yet. Leaning toward chrome or satin nickel.

I should note the rest of our furnishings are cool tones (grays, blues) so not sure about going to warm tone with flooring. Keep the comments coming and thanks to those who have posted.

Arancia is is the color I'd pick in that floor series.

Bah they told us today that classique is not an option, the silver cloud is 4775 with it going up the backsplash as well. And the vincneza is over 7000. Frustrating to say the least. Thinking of silver cloud polished and maybe forgoing backsplash for now to do a sublte one later. And yes we will get to pick our granite slab. Opinions?

Are there any other quartz slabs available? Maybe the Calacatta Leon (which appears similar to the Classique)?

Depending on budget, I would always prioritize things like cabinets, floors, and countertops that you are unlikely to want to change, and economize on hardware, fixtures, and anything else that can be a future diy.

What i originally wanted was the Statuary and was settling for the classique they said I could get. I am guessing the price was so high for it the builder just said no. And the standard quartz they have is fossil gray, iced white, and stellar gray. All the regular granites they carry are brown tones. Beginning to regret building again, seeing the slabs at the stone place and then being told NO you can't have that by the builder is beyond depressing.

And now I am stuck on what floor color to do if we go with the silver cloud. I feel like it has to be light to mid tone but I don't want to do gray tones as with gray tinted cabintes, and repose gray wall paint a gray floor might be overkill. The quote for Lazio Plus for the main floor is 8673, but the idea of ripping out standard hardwood to replace it after will probably cost even more.

If we did standard hardwood its a #2 random width red oak with these colors as options:

Classic Gray, Provincial, Natural, Jacobean, Antique Brown, and Early American. Help!!

And Groveraxle you are right we had already told them to forgo hardware so we can pick our own after and are doing standard lights to upgrade after so we have more options and costs less. So at least I got that part right. :)

I LOVE the cabinets just need to find the right floor and counter to go with.
