Although the sconces and pendant are lovely, they wouldn't be my choice in a room with chrome fittings. Chrome is slightly blue-ish and nickel is yellow-ish, and they don't work well together. I could see chrome mixed with lighting in a much darker finish for contrast, but chrome and nickel are too close to provide contrast and can look like you tried to match them and failed. Can you return them, or exchange them for the same in a different finish?

I did the same except opposite, I had ordered chrome sconces (thought it was nickel) and ordered brushed nickel for my faucets. Funny enough my sconces are very close to yours! At this point I am so done with my build I am keeping everything. My counters are Taj Mahal and that has both creams and greys so hoping it ties it all together. If not, oh well, I am living with them for awhile!

Yeah I see what you mean. I think chrome makes sense with our bathroom’s other elements as well. So may just play it safe and maybe do crystal vanity knobs for some variety

I think it would drive me crazy so I’d return now. I like the idea of crystal knobs, I did some in my chrome bathroom and they look great, you could also do more of a crystal pendant as well.

I came across this picture as well. Do you think it the mix of the nickel sconce and chrome faucet work here? Or is it just my bad eyes lol.

I have chrome fixtures and brushed nickel sconces and brushed nickel knobs. I am fine with it.

I have a chrome faucet, chrome hardware, aluminum around a shower door and brushed nickel pendants in a bathroom. I think it looks fine. They are all silver metals, AFAIC. I would never ever throw brass or ORB or black or whatever into the metal mix. THAT would look odd, to me.

Of course, if you've already completed your bathroom, and have no problem with mixing chrome and nickel, then you've made your choice. As far as the OP's question goes, I still maintain that it's not an optimal look.

Thanks for the tips! We’ve decided to go all chrome. We found 2 chandeliers that still has a wood element that may work well with chrome as well

if people are looking at your faucet and reeling about how they don't match the wall sconce you have bigger problems. If this is your master you will be the only one who really sees it every day so if it bothers YOU then change it. By the way, I find it hard to wash my hands and stare at a wall sconce at the same time...I'm more likely to look for a towel.

I know this thread is 6 years old, but I think the question still gets asked.

Some designers will say it is perfectly fine to mix chrome and brushed nickel. Other designers will say it is a cardinal sin. I had to re-use a number of items so I looked for something small that contained both metals.
