Contemporary homes are in style right now, thus the “less is more”. You can always add the columns later, if you decide the house is too plain. It’s expensive to make changes during construction, but if you can afford to build in the Hamptons, that might not be a consideration.

Thank you for the feedback! I’m in agreement with the less is more. I was advised by some realtor friends that it could make the house more difficult to sell in 10/20years. But who has a crystal ball! Full traditional could make a comeback! In the meantime I will see how it looks without them!

You've engaged an architect to design this house and it is going to cost $$$$, have him re draw the facade with less decoration and see if you like it.
