Does James Hardie night gray have blue tinge to it?

Some of the photos that I searched and found do seem to have blue tinge, in some others it just looks plain gray on the dark side. The photo of the color itself seems not blue (plain gray). Just want to confirm that. If someone has used this color please let me know. Thank you!

Visit your supplier and see for yourself :)

Hardie also comes primed ready to paint the color you like best.

Our street has many new builds that all have different Hardie colors. The night gray house looks blue to my husband but not to me. Either way, it’s nice.

ETA: agree that you should try to see samples.

I built a house last year and did Night Gray. It's definitely grey but has a blue/black undertone which is why I love it. I'm not a fan of gray with a green undertone.

They will send you free samples (I believe 3) but my builder also got an entire Northeast set for me.

Thank you for everybody who responded. I really appreciate the photos. I can see the blue in it.

I had no idea Hardie came pre finished before I started reading Houzz. In my region Hardie is ubiquitous. It is always painted on site a custom color.

Your house turned out beautiful. Can you tell me what color your roof is?

jandsmom, I'd love to know what color door you have with the Night Gray siding?

It's BM Hale navy. I started with Midnight navy and it looked purple in certain light so it had to go!

That's so funny....I tried BM Blueberry Hill and it was too purple also. I keep ordering new blues from Samplize and not liking them.....Last night, I ordered BM Hale Navy, BM New York State of Mind and Sherman Williams Naval samples. They should arrive in a few days. At least now I know that one of them will work! Thank you! Now my next job will be to find paver colors that work for the front path and back patio. Do you happen to have any suggestions, lol? Thank you so much for replying!!!!

I just took picture for you to see what we did with our walk. The porch and our deck in back are Trex pebble gray. It's also easier to see the door😊

Thank you so very much for the close-up!! Love your entry way and your home; they are beautiful. My hubby and 2 friends, who have been trying to help me pick a color, agree that Hale Navy looks like the winner!

Your house looks so pretty! What color roof shingles did you choose? We are looking at Night Gray now and trying to pair a roof color.
