Climbers in Trees

October 3, 2019

Been a long time, life is busy, etc etc

Wanted to update everyone who has been such a big help.

My own root climbers and ramblers are doing surprisingly well planted under mature trees. I’m still hoping they really take off next year because they are very small and have produced very limited amounts of flowers. But they are surviving and seem generally healthy.

The big winners are: Ramblin Red, Amadeus, Veilchenblau, and White Dawn.

Chianti and Tess of the D’Urbervilles are the least vigorous. One of my New Dawn was dug up by an unknown varmit. The other is in the worst spot of them all but is still

showing slow growth.

Crimson Glory CL is doing well, too.

Everything has slowed down during this heat wave and dry spell.

My pictures aren’t loading of course. Guess not much has changed in my absence ha.
