IMO if you want to instantly devalue your house paint the brick Taking away the bumpout window and removing the arches will already make the house feel different. I think black windows would be a good choice and also more modern garage doors and a walkway from the street to the front door and some modern landscaping are all things to do before painting the brickSome big black planters filled with seasonal plantings and forget the christmas wreath. A modern vertical light fisture is another thing .

It's a handsome house. Don't screw it up. You can't just paint the brick and take out the bay and the brick arches..........you have to replace garage doors, all the exterior fixtures, the vents on the house, and oh, BTW the landscaping.

Why not embrace the traditional & just limewash the brick.

I also have a brick ranch. Recently we changed all the windows to black, wow it made an amazing difference! Many moons ago I painted the garage doors very similar to Beverly's picture, again a huge change. You can create a totally different feel without painting the brick.

What color did you choose for the garage doors. I’m going to paint these first to confirm I like the dark then in the future but new dark ones. Windows are in the process of getting ordered. We are going with black clad casement. Also, a new front door that I’ll pant black or a super dark gray.
