I have been in the same dry situation as you, Nancy. There have been very few rain events but they went north, south, east and west of me. For some reason central NH is forgotten by Ma Nature. Nothing but a couple sprinkle events which did nothing. I am under a giant umbrella it seems. My yard hasn't had meaningful rain in weeks. I set hundreds of seed pods and have been harvesting them for several weeks. I am amazed that plants whose leaves have yellowed and disappeared can still set good pods full of seeds! Unfortunately, Allegheny Skyline disappeared and I can't find a trace of it. I kept it watered and gave it the best soil but all that time wasted by the USPS in transit must have done it in.

I heard Allegheny Skyline is very hardy, mine started out good, but the last few weeks have really been hard on it Celeste. Right now I am down to 1 fan healthy fan and one yellowing, unless it recovers in the spring. I have been babying it, but not looking good.

Oh my - have heard that about the rain in other areas. Here we had a gusher just the day before yesterday, and there is still water standing out there. Was so very happy to see sun today, despite the wind and cool - it had been gray and gloomy for days. Fall is here.

Well, we have finally had some decent rain the last 3 nights . That being said it has been so hot and dry for so long that the garden bed I am weeding right now was dry 1/2 inch down so I have been supplementing with the hose as I weed. Don't want to think what my hydro bill will be like with the pump running for hours and hours as I weed . We are supposed to get more rain tonight ( fingers crossed ) and then we are in for about a week of dry weather they say. .

Interesting observation about Allegheny Skyline . I grow a lot of Hanson daylilies and most do really well . But the odd one struggles and again the odd one will just up and die .

I have had First Officer's Log for 2 years and it is doing nothing still a double fan after all that time .......and Erogenous Zone didn't even last one whole year , it died over winter .......but others like Cobraskin Necktie and Enola Gay are rock solid . I wonder why.

Glad to see many are getting rain. I hope the rest see rain.

We had rain yesterday off and on, all night last night and still raining today. Some of it has been quite hard. It is supposed to rain all day. It is wonderful. Aug. 27 was our last meaningful rain too, Nancy.

Last I checked this morning, we have gotten 3" of rain since it started, most last night. Our local weatherman said they had 1 1/2" there, about 5 miles away. Good to see others are getting the rain too
