I would go with some smaller wall art or mirror for balance.

Its all about proportion and balance. Also, the foyer should introduce you, your personality and style, and it should hint at what's to come in the adjoining spaces. I'm in agreement with Beverly. The individual pieces of the vignette have merit, but are not working well together. What is your favorite "must keep" item among these pieces? Let's build from that.

I also agree with Beverly. The proportions here are wrong and the stripes on the wall just confuse the issue. I think this could work if the art were about 2/3 the size or if the console were longer. I'd lose the bench and the rug.

Where is this mirror from?

Since you already have the console and art, try lowering the art and replacing the lamp with a taller one. Remove the little stool. If this rug comes in a runner size, that would be better than the size you have now.

If the art is exchangeable for a smaller piece, that would work better, too.
