Cleaning Patio: Good Idea?????

Our patio consist of pavers laid on sand which in tern was on a platform built up of courser materials. It was finished by working sand into the areas between the pavers.

That was about 6 years ago. Since the patio is on the north side of he house it has collected molds, moss, etc. This noon I was cleaning the patio with the hose and realized that I should probably add more sand to the spaces between the pavers.

Question: If I use the pressure washer on one of the lower pressure setting, and avoid hitting the paver spaces the vertical, ie keep the spray a small angle to the surface of he patio, will I do any permanent harm to the patio deck. The plan is after cleaning with the pressure washer, to spread sand and refill he paver spaces.

What about the block wall that is held together with paver glue. Again hitting the block surface at an angle so as to keep the spray out of direct line of the spaces.
