Exterior work to cover faux Tudor facade of older house

My niece just bought this house on Vancouver Island and asked me for help on what to do to get rid of the faux Tudor look. The Tudor brown detail is only on the front of the house. It is embedded into a thick stucco application similar to a trowel sweep. Taking the wood out and re-stuccoing in not an option. Cost is a major consideration. The ground floor of the house is brownish red brick. Is there any detail of the Tudor we can work with or paint all the brown Tudor treatment? Any suggestions would be much appreciated. The wood profiles the facade by about 1/2". I am stuck!
