I've been noticing these sticky patches on my indoor basil and pickering mango leaves. What are they and how can I eliminate them? In case it matters, the basil is edible but the mango is years away from producing fruit. Several months ago, I had trips on the mango leaves, so I wouldn't mind using a noxious chemical on it if needed (to get rid of all pests once and for all).

There are these little red dots on some of the leaves as well. Are they eggs or something similar?
