Help decorating Front entrance console table!

Would appreciate some help and advice on how to "stage" a console table to add some interest to my front entrance. I think the art print is a bit small and not sure how to add some much needed interest to this console table that is in my front entrance. Do I use a larger print? Mirror? ( console table faces the staircase. What to put on table..... thanks!

Your picture didn't post. It has to be in jpeg format and you need to wait for it to stop being grayed out before hitting submit.

Okay thanks Inwill try again. Actually having issues posting pic as it is not downloading.

yeah, I'm having lots of problems posting pics on Houzz. I've had to resize the images (using MS-Paint) and I can post only 2 pics per post max.

Thank you. Would you consider a large round mirror?

A large mirror could be very nice, but take acm’s comments re family photos and small objects in the vein intended.

Could we please see more photos of the hall? It appears that it is a struggle to walk around that table and turn the corner. Not every hall needs a table or works well with a table.

This might be a better place for a tall piece of art or a mirror. Thanks.

Thanks. Here are more photos of the hall.

That looks like a pretty big entry.. What about a center table? I didn't see any posted dimensions .... maybe one would fit?

Thanks for the additional photos. The bench seems to be serving an actual purpose. I would eliminate the table. The hall is rather large and it becomes tight where you have placed the table and around the corner to the hall perpendicular.

I'd add a full length mirror there instead.

I would consider moving the table to where the bench is. If you need the bench, buy a different table and put benches under the table. I'd either buy a large rug or paint the front door or both.

Thank you! I really like the Idea above As people do use the bench. If I move the table to where the bench is would you recommend a mirror where the existing print is? Then I could possibly hang the print where the table is now. Thanks

Can you take a photo from standing at the front door?

Sometimes it is easier to add them to an ideabook and then grab them from there. After adding to ideabook, choose "houzz photo" below.

You don't want a print that takes up only the upper half of the wall. You either need a table to put it over or you want a long piece of art.

You are welcome. I think a mirror would look great there! I'd put the table where the bench is, using the art that is currently above bench. Pretty home!

The table in the front hall looks great! Yes, I would use 2 ottomans. Are these colors that you are using in other rooms? The front hall sets the tone and those colors should be use in some measure throughout the home.

You could put art in the tall space if you want. I don't think a mirror would be an issue with our central vac, though.

Really appreciate all your help!!! One last question. So if I put a mirror where the console use to be...can I use a large round mirror? Or does it have to go to the floor? Thank you.

Not a problem. No, I would not use a round mirror. I know you might see that a lot.....but it doesn't look good, in my opinion. You'll want something that generally fits the shape of the area, but is smaller. If you use art, get something like your front hall piece that is light and airy.

yes I am using those colours in other areas of my home.

Perfect. So more of a rectangle? I cannot thank You enough for all your help! I really think it l look so much better and will be more functional. Next the dining room!

Right......and I would keep the frame light.......the mirror would be more something to fill the space and open up that area of the hall. See what I mean.....just something to fill the space and reflect your beautiful staircase.
