If you want to play with shapes, in metal.... place photos of guests in the frame / Metal plated geometric mirror that can be hung vertically or horizontally. Offset wires are placed in front of the glass and can be used as storage for hanging accessories.

I am glad you were able to use your quilt. I too, think the location of the bed makes the room feel off. No amount of pillows or rugs will fix that. This may be an easy fix. Can you please post photos of the other walls?

@cdrdesign. The bed is almost centered in the room. It's an awkward layout no matter what direction the bed faces.

Two walls each with a window at one end. The entry wall with a closet. And the other wall with a dresser and plant stand close to the window. The plants remain for the winter and go outside in summer.

The closet contains our "office". When the grandkids were little I would clean out the bottom half of the closet and make it up with an air mattress and trick it out like a tent. They loved it.

Sounds like fun! Okay, if you want to provide more photos, I might be able to help.

@cdrdesign. The longest length is the entrance and closet wall.

Here are a couple of options for you. In one of the options, you can see I eliminated one side of the drapes It really is the way you have the room now, but eliminating the one side of the drape makes the room feel less choppy. . In the other, I eliminated them altogether.

If I were to choose from the beginning, I would not have chosen such dark drapes.

Art: It is too small for the walls. I know some of that is your own art. If you want to display small art on a large wall, I'd group it into a gallery.

Thanks! I will move the drapes to one side. The corner between the windows I find awkward. How to display art? Both sides? They are kind of equal distance apart

The bed is a double. Not a queen. It will be awhile before we can get a queen bed (with headboard!) and a mattress.

So far company doesn't mind the double bed.

On thing you can do is to get a headboard.......that way, you don't have that awkward corner. Or, you might try my second option, with the dresser taking up one of the walls.

I have queen bed in here....with a double bed, you might be able to place the dresser on the long wall.

I moved the drapes to the side which exposes the original curtain "rods" that I haven't replaces yet. This is what the room looks like now...

Curtains closed for privacy. Rancher house. Close to the road. Many people walk by.

Okay. it looks like the pillows are too large for the bed. Are they queen pillows? If there is a way to get the pillows off the drapes, that would help. I'd try rearranging pillows and/or moving drapes a little to the right.

The pillows are a regular size. To have the bed away from the curtains means moving the bedside table away and tucking the bed against the wall.

If you just tweak the drape a bit to the right to line it up with the window and then turn that yellow pillow so that the open side is in the center, it will look a lot neat and drapes will not overlap.

If you could get side table that is not as wide, that would be helpful also.

Another idea: remove the mirror from the dresser. Eliminate the side table. Place the dresser against the window and use it as both a dresser and side table.
