Doug Crispin and his wife (violetshowcase.com) moved from Denver to NY. Imagine the hassle for not that young people. I heard this week that he is reopening an AV supplies business. Since it is all dry goods... we can order all winter long. I used to buy his soil in bulk... superb soil.

Depending where you live - promix bx, fafard - and just add medium perlite until it feels right. The main issue is to get the pH right - and they are already balanced. It is not as good as Doug mix - but it is almost as good, And they do not have critters - as Miracle Grow mix seems to have. We all had the case when with opening a bag a cloud of fungus gnats emerged.
