Are those refrigerated drawers? What type of wood is on them if so? Also, what is the countertop made with? Truly beautiful work.

Thank you for visiting our page! Yes those are refrigerated drawers and they are veneered with Ipe wood. The counter tops are granite slabs from Ollin International located in Anaheim, CA.

Hi Yolanda, all of the wood you see in this photo is Ipe with an oil finish. You can purchase Ipe at most lumber yards such as Ganahl Lumber.

The wood on the bar appears to have spacing between the boards but the siding is lap board. Do the boards have a natural gap when put together or did you space out the boards to show the gap? We live in Florida so we need to construct the island with metal and cement board, do you have recommendations on how to get the spacing in between the boards?
