Agree! Beaded iris are incredibly tough plants. And here in Zone 5, we were still planting them only a couple of weeks ago. So I think you're good.

Yep, if you move quickly and carefully, they will maybe not even know they were moved. Worst case, you miss most or all of next years bloom.

Im in West TN and I am still planting iris.. Planting them this late, you just have to watch for heave.. ie the ground freezing and thawing in cycles and pushing them up out of the ground.. being further south than I am you might even have to worry about that..
