Help! which sink size?

Im looking at the kraus workstation sinks. There are 3 sinks in my kitchen/bar area. The smallest sink size in these is the 23 inch. I was think of doing the 23 inch for the bar and the prep sink and the 45 inch for the main sink (I like the additions the 45 inch adds). Im getting custom cabinets so I need to figure out the sizes for sure.

Here's my question:

Are these standard sizes? If I needed to switch sinks in the future, would I be able to switch these out ok?
-any other thoughs or suggestions?

Mine is 30“ exterior, about 27-28” interior. I wish it were wider.

OMG not having two drains is the BEST part!! So much more room under the sink for storage with half the plumbing pipes, especially if you have an offset drain (i.e. drain is not centered). Also, when I’ve had 2-bowl sinks years ago, I always felt that whatever side the disposal is on, I wished it were the other side. Also, whichever side the disposal is on means that the non-disposal side will have the slimy sink stopper/strainer that you’ll have to dump over to the disposal side, and if you don’t, that side will have floaties in the water. Blech. Single bowl, single drain for me.

Look, if you love a double-bowl, get that. I am telling you how I feel and what I prefer. You’ve posted about it a lot on this forum, so it sounds like you feel strongly about a double-bowl, so get a double-bowl. Do not get a 50-50. I can see no justification for a 50-50.

one is in a bar area that is separate but im redoing it with the kitchen together. one is a prep sink near the island. one is the main sink. i do like preparing meals for big get togethers!

I am also wondering about sink size, but we only have 1 sink in the kitchen. 31-33 in a 36 cabinet and the sink looks HUGE out of the box. I am questioning my choice.

@kel_kat5 - It won’t look as big once installed in the counter. It looks huge all by itself un-installed. I have a single-bowl sink that is 30” wide. I love the single bowl, but I often wish the sink were wider.

I have been on this forum a number of years. While you read often about people wishing their sink were wider, there has not been one time I’ve read anyone saying “gee, I wish my sink were smaller”. Nope.

@m_miller thanks! I am choking on the sink decision. I thought I wanted a 50/50 because I have never thought otherwise. I had never given it second thought until reading comments on Houzz! I have now ordered a Hahn 18 gauge sink that will be 30x17 installed undermount. It does look huge sitting on our floor.

@m_miller is your sink 30" exposed? I really don't think I could ever need bigger, but I will get back to you in a few months! I am sooooo worried that I will miss the 2 drains.

@m_miller no disposal here. I don't think we have them in most homes in Canada. I like the 2-sides for extra draining while someone is doing dishes. I guess I will use a dishpan??? I appreciate your point about space under the sink. That's a good thing.

We’ve had many posters in Canada with disposals. You guys call them garburators.

m_miller, you mind find it interesting that I think it is only in more elite homes that you would find these. haha. There is not one person I know with a garburator. We dispose of all compostable garbage into a bin under the sink in green bags - then off to the dump or wherever.
