Sorry, I don't grow these plants, but since no one has responded yet, I'll make some general comments. Sounds like you might be newish at plants & those plants aren't beginner plants. 'Til others answer w/ suggestions, perhaps continue reading online what you can abt them, careful to read from reputable sites, like ending in .edu, or related to botany, greenhouses or universities. A lot of the plant info on YouTube is either bad or wrong.

Growing plants to me is abt fun, enjoyment & relaxation. You mention constant worry abt your plants; that doesn't sound like a positive experience. Plants will grow how they grow & how you provide conditions for them. Sorry, but worrying helps nothing & many plants don't like being fussed over, just so you know.

Good that you know to try using them, but you're using humidity trays incorrectly. One needs to take the saucers off to allow the pots to benefit from being seated above the water of the stones. I use a lot of these under individual pots of Hoyas I grow.

Under each pot here, there's a plastic lid w/ stones, OR they're in the clay pot directly above it. Resizing the pic (to 800 x 1200?) allowed it to post.

I have a suggestion for you. The smaller of the two plants (which I don't grow either) is sitting very low in the outer pot. It might get better air circulation and light if you put something under it (anything object) so it sits higher. I assume you take it out to water. Have fun with your new hobby, and I wish you great success. I've always had 2-3 plants in my home. It just doesn't look right without them.

They look to be a long way from the window. I suspect there will be too little light in that position.

I agree with floral_uk, I'd either move them closer to the window or hang a light over them.

A cheap shop light is a good investment (I went from T-12 to T-8 over four to five years and now adding LED shop lights as my T-8 light ballasts go belly up). I run about 90 shop lights in the basement in winter with internet switches (TP-Link smart plug you set up with your phone, set schedules, turn off/on remotely). Now I just need an automatic watering system - HAHA!

I bought steel shelving units from Sam's Club over the years (6' high, 18" deep, 4' wide - perfect for shop lights). I only use four of the six shelves and after I have two units made and four leftover shelves, I buy legs from a shelving online company (the cost would be prohibitive if I also bought casters so I stay on the cheap side).

I even made five wooden shelves myself - 8' long, 2' deep, 6' tall.

Thanks everyone I’ll move them closer to the light I was afraid of leaf burn and read that you should have them within 5 feet of a southern window but no closer. I’m not like worried as I’m giving myself a heart attack I just don’t want them to die. I know these plants are tough which is why I asked for advice thanks everyone I’ll take your suggestions. Also thanks for pointing out about the worrying I worry but I also highly enjoy I was mainly more worried about placement with these guys. I will put the smaller one on something to get it some more air and move the table closer, only confusion I have is that they say with humidity trays to not have the pot sit directly on them because it’s then sitting in water? Is this just some wrong idea that’s circulating around the internet? I also have a humidifier running for the two plants. And another smaller one running for my bonsai, Luna crotons and sunny star croton... thanks again!! Also that shelving unit is goals

Ok new placement took saucers out propped the smaller one on some little jars on the inside of the pot thank you again everyone!

For a humidity tray to work, the bottom of the pot needs to be in direct contact w/ the stones, which have SOME water in them, not the full height of the pebbles.

Think of it like this. My pebbles are dry to start, I water the plant to overflow, so that SOME water spills on to the pebbles, but doesn't fill the entire tray, so that the pots are SITTING ON TOP OF, but not IN the water on the pebbles.

Ok mine seems to be done right now there isn’t a lot of water in the tray the pebbles are just wet and the saucers are gone thank you again
