Paint Color For Master Bedroom

Would like to get rid of the red accent wall in our master bedroom. Thinking of a deep blue, teal or gray. Should I do this or just paint it the same color as the rest of the walls? My husband thinks a lighter color would be better but we can’t agree.

The rest of the walls are tan and the curtains and quilt are an ivory /cream and I’d like to keep those but add color with the accent wall and pillows on the bed and small dark leather club chair in the corner. We also have a Victorian walnut writing desk and small matching chair, so am thinking fairly traditional. We are also going to add some crown molding.

Not a pro. I had an accent wall in my family room on the fireplace wall and just repainted the entire room the same color. I like it so much better so I am kind of over the accent wall thing.

I love the second picture and I believe the color is SW Quiver Tan, which is what I have in my foyer. I absolutely love the color.

Those red accent walls were very popular twenty years ago. We had one when we bought our house - it was gone the following day and looked so much better.

Crown molding will look great in your room, and is probably the only accent you will need. You could paint any color you like. Another possibility is neutral walls and accent wallpaper, but that will cost more.

So agree! The house was built in 2004 and was the model home. Every house from that period seemed to have that paint color in it! It was also in the kitchen. I expunged it and went with a duck egg gray blue. Looks so much better!
