Rethinking a bit. Adding a trash pullout?

Is a trash pullout, not next to the sink a reasonable plan?

In my guest loft apartment my original plan was to buy a freestanding island(approx $450). I can assemble it myself so no install cost, plus I don’t have to put an outlet in, which is required by code in a fixed island. I have a nice, Simple Human trash can that we use now, it is fine as that is what we are used to. This space will be listed as a short time rental, but when not in use I use this extra kitchen to make gummies, lotions and such. It’s nice to work away from the main house, no distractions.

Anyway, IKEA makes 15” deep base cabinets which allows me to have a 15” overhang and maintain the bar seating for 2. It also gives me space for a knife drawer, storage for cutting boards and small appliances I don’t want to leave out, like a blender or mixer. Ive done some research and to do these cabinets plus add a countertop and have an outlet installed it will be around $900-1000.

As I’ve never had a trash pullout in any kitchen, is it that much of a game changer? Will it make me resent me “real“ kitchen lol?
