My Introduction

Thought I should introduce myself. I've been following several forums on Gardenweb for years and finally figured I should participate if I had anything of value to say or offer. I already feel I know many of the regulars. I just retired 4 yrs ago and live in Prince Rupert BC Canada (its called the City of Rainbows meaning it's coastal, very wet and rains alot). On the other hand, we have the Pacific Ocean on our door step and it's incredibly beautiful, especially when the sun shines.

Hi, Ladydi. Great to get new input here. Had previously only known of the Lady Di with the capital "D"! Am familiar at least with the climate on the North Shore, Greater Vancouver, (relatives; viz. located on the ocean with mountains behind). Gives me some appreciation for the lots of rain, but also for how scenic it can be.

Welcome ladydi. Glad to have another gardener to compare garden notes with.

I'm a frequent reader, but infrequent poster. I'm in BC in zone 8 and have a small garden. What zone are you in? What do you enjoy growing? Pictures are always welcome :-)

Me & my husband moved here just a couple years ago. We both really enjoy fishing and a boat pretty much in storage all the time. e decided to scale down our lives and move closer to the ocean but I didn't realize how different the climate would be from our previous place. I haven't really adapted as well as I'd hoped. I believe are in zone 7 (Canadian) but between the rain and the deer it's a real challenge to garden. I've taken alot of joy reading all the posts on Gardenweb and will definate try my hand at loading pictures soon. BTW, I think Ken is the coolest guy ever haha!

Yo, Di, show us what you got girl! Welcome to the forum, there's a few Canucks in it and I rather suspect some Maple Leaf fans, pity them......

A picture of Prince Rupert BC walking trail along the coastline on a 'dry' day. I live just two street up from here. You'll often see crab traps just off the side or people fishing from shore.
