Whats the exterior look like?

You'd obviously have to remove the hedges if you go the door route. Do you normally have furniture in front of this space? Or is this part of an eat in kitchen (trying to think in context of where this bay window is).

I would just update what is there. No need for the bay window as the framing is integral to the home. Keep in mind that all those window will require tempered glass this go around.

Thanks! Already planning on removing hedges. Window is on the long wall of a large living room space -- not near kitchen. It's a pretty big space, so I could put two chairs and a table there if I kept it as a window. It's pretty much the first thing you see when you walk in the front door though, and I can't decide if bay french doors would be wow or weird. Here is a pic from front door, although I also will be enlarging this opening to the living room.

What do you decide in end? If you did French doors do you have photos ?

I think it is such a good example of a remodel of the type of houses and landscapes that we drive by (or live in!) without giving them a second thought, as to how they could be updated effectively.
