? Why the plastic on the chair and not sure what to make of tv console. Need better pictures.

I just received the chair from the store. I have not moved yet to this house. Ill attach additional pictures

I took some of the plastic wrapping off. The couch color and coordinating pillows can be visible with a bluish wallpaper behind and the armchair and the wall color can also be seen

I feel like the couch, the wallpaper, and the wall color match. My only pet peeve is the dark blue in the tv console that feels out of place

I was thinking off adding some blue or yellow cushions to the mix in order to make it more cohesive? Perhaps some wall wart? I am not sure

What accesories do you recommend me to place on the tv console to make it more bright? Maybe some books to add some color? A white vase? Some gold accents? I am not sure what to do with it. The blue panels were supposed to be white but they got the colors mixed up while painting and it turned out like this

Husband does not want to paint the blue panels, because he has changed so many things in this house and he got tired lol. I was just wondering if I got a rug that has some teal and blue in it for the center of the room, or some blue accent pillows.. will they look mismatched with the rest of the decoration?

id use a few mirror framed picture frames, 5x7 , which gives you light reflecting sparkle. It personalizes the space more than random store-bought objects . Use white in the dark cubbies too- Real white coral or other interesting sculpture found objects

What is the coffee table? A warm wood? Add a large metal tray on top - brass could work

Thanks A lot! I loved the mirror framed pictures idea. Yes, it is not technically blue, it is more like a mix between navy and charcoal. I wish I could describe the color. The color intended was supposed to be a dark green to go along the rest of the decor, but I have no idea why the person ended up painting it like this.

this would work nicely if you wanted to accent w/gold pillows or throws. if you want to stay w/the silvers, then do a silver base. marble top would be fine.

Paint the chair legs black…same as the panels.

Consider this rug from Pottery Barn which hints, not screams, at the creams, teal and black.

Post pics of the entire room to show where everything is located. Also, what direction does the room face? Just guessing, but your husband seems to like clean/modern lines? You may want to skip curtains altogether and have simple blinds or shades.

Yes, we both like simple things and modern clean lines. I was thinking about blinds because the window is directly over the couch. I apologize i have not been able to post the entire room, but we have just received the furniture and everything is a mess right now. But i saw the tv console and felt overwhelmed so decided to try to sort out thar first. I really appreciate all the input.

Living room update: this is what i have so far. We purchased a rug, placed blinds, added some pillows and some decorative accents. Any suggestions are more than welcome. I am still hating the blue panels but hope i can get used to them.

I like the blue/grey, and think it adds interest. Just for fun I made 2 alternatives, one with all white and one with grey and white. Comparing all 3, I still like the blue.

i followed the advice of incorporating blue cushions on the couch, a rug with blue accent, we kept the blinds pretty neutral with a little bit of teal. I liked the end result of this side of the room. I still have left how to decorate around the tv panel. I don't want to add too much to it to avoid it looking cluttered or too busy.
