Squirrels digging everywhere, tree leaves falling, gingers and figs going dormant, fall-blooming hibiscus blooming.

None of my gingers have started going dormant yet. Even the globbas are blooming like crazy and they are normally dormant by now. Im going to stop watering them soon or they will end up rotting. Been there lol..

Figs have a few figs on them growing still..a late Breba crop.

Regardless of the plants deceptive ways, we are gonna have to get the greenhouse plastic on soon.

Here the goldenrod is blooming, also the Sea Myrtle bushes that grow along the roadsides. There have already been some goldfinches showing up. Some of the Sweetgum leaves are turning. Haven't seen any color on the Sumac or the Virginia Creeper though. Huh.

Peachtree is going dormant, potato mint is blooming, apricot is going dormant, lemon is ripening and my pigeon pea is starting to bloom

Glenn, this points out the difference between your zone and mine. My potato mint has shown no sign of blooming, but my Shiso is. I'm sad about the Shiso, because I love it in salads. I'm thinking of growing some mini greens of it this winter.

it has been so nice to be back in the garden! i lucked out, while I sat in th AC the hibiscus plant fell over and all the branches grew towards the sky. looks like i cared for several bushes when in reality I let 1 just go wild!

Fall must be here now lol. The tropical waterlilies and globba gingers are finally going to sleep.

One sign fall is near is the sound of acorns dropping on the metal barn roof and metal chicken coop roofs. Its loud and I can hear it when the house is quiet, if I am in the back of the house lol.

My inground pool water gets very cold...brrrr

The dogs want to stay outside more, out of the house, in the house, out of the house, in the house, out of the house...........
