Check out the incredible transformation of this kitchen we remodeled in Manhattan Beach, CA! As you can see, before the space was closed off from the rest of the house. By removing the wall and creating an open floor plan, it tied these spaces together making the entirety of the space feel much larger, brighter, and inviting. I like the before pictures much better - I like having a door to the kitchen so that I can close it off. For me, the kitchen is not an entertaining area - it is a work area. The work triangle in the after photo is way too large and therefore inefficient. The waterfall counter makes it look very dated. The kitchen is still dated - it's just a different date, and not a better one.

I live close to Manhattan Beach.

I'm a fan! I really like the clerestory lighting! The work triangle may not be the best but I don't mind a few extra steps if those steps are in such a bright and airy space. Good job!
