Bathroom Redesign

Hi all,

I'm not sure if these are the best pictures, but I am looking to spruce up my bathroom without completely gutting it. As such, will leave the tile, the tub, and the toilet, but I am keen to paint the walls, replace the vanity, and add a new mirror, etc. A few thoughts I've had include:

  • repurposing this old makeup vanity into, erm, a bathroom vanity. I would paint it, change the pulls, and add a vessel sink of some kind.
  • I like the idea of wall mounting the taps and faucet.
  • I am fine to add wall tile where required
    I'll add new

In terms of what I would like to do, I love the art deco bathrooms you sometimes see in trendy hotels, but unfortunately the existing tile doesn't really jive with that. So realistically I am just looking for some ideas that would complement the existing elements, but make it much brighter and appealing.

I appreciate this is all quite vague, but clearly I have no idea of what I want to do. in lieu of another idea I may paint the vanity dark blue, use gold fixtures, and get a remnant piece of marble or quartz as the top. I don't know how that would match what is already there though.

Anyway, thanks in advance!

Shawn
