Please help determining which slab, which templating

Due to a last-minute realization that someone (not me the homeowner) did not measure correctly the length of the countertop in our master bath, they are now re-doing the templating on the slab that we had originally chosen. The slab of Monte Cristo will be used both there and in our kitchen, on a raised bar portion of our island (yes I know that's not "in" now), with waterfall sides. I've been told that we can use a different slab. I'm not real happy with the new design and the way the flow of the pattern in the original slab would work on the kitchen island. I've attached pictures of both slabs and options 1 (slab 1) and option 2 (slab 2) below. Both the tile-countertop company and our builder's designer like the option 1 for slab 1; I do not. The seam on option 1 bathroom counter would be at one sink, the seam on option 2 would be at the other bathroom sink. Please provide your input, is there something better about option 1 vs. option 2 that I'm missing? (I'm intentionally not saying why I prefer one over the other to see of anyone else has the same thoughts that I do).
