what do you call the rods that supporting the overhang ?

    no real specific name, they are just support rods, either solid steel or stainless steel with threaded ends or sometimes tubes, with fittings on each end to connect to the supports and the awning. We typically spec hardware from McMaster Carr. www.mcmaster.com
