My watermelon peperomia suffered from the same thing. Since I changed the soil and watering habits is has not shed any new baby leaves. Also they like humidity, are they near a heat source? Dont like drafts either. I find that peperomia argyreia and caperata are quite fussy. The more sturdy varieties of peperomia are quite easier, like obtusifolia.

Does the pot have a hole in it?

if you insist in a fanch pot ... then you should use a pot in pot system ... finding a plastic pot that fits inside the pretty one ... so if need be.. you can take it out when you need to ...

i also wonder about when the last time you repotted... potting media does wear out.. leading to watering issues ... and the plant dies look a bit large.. for the little-ish pot ...

Ken, peperomia usually have little root systems, I think the soil may be the issue but not the size of the pot.

I think either soil &/or a drainage problem, that change in coloring, maybe overwatering,

I believe I can see there's an inner pot inside there (from the last pic). If so, could water be collecting down inside at bottom of the outer pot? Preventing the lower roots from ever drying enough to get air.

Hi, Karen, Yes, peperomia definitely should have drainage holes, bad soil and no drainage holes equals a very mushy and sad peperomia, or any plant by the way haha.
