Using Ipe with pvc

I am going to have an outdoor privacy screen built and am considering using Ipe to build frames for the screen panels, and am possibly gong to use PVC 1/2" x 4' x 8' sheets (cut down into smaller squares and framed by ipe 1"x1" within the 2"x2" frame) as the in-frame screen material. The PVC will be butting up against the ipe 2"x2" outside frame as well as the inside 1"x1" ipe frames......the PVC will be attached with stainless screws running through the ipe into the 1/2" side/edge of the PVC......Is there going to be an issue with moisture being trapped between the ipe and the pvc, or with expansion and contraction? The screen is ultimately going to be 8' tall and made up of about 5 2.5' wide panels connected by most likely piano hinges.......The piano hinges require a lot of screws as they run the height of the panels.....is there any problem using that many screws in the 2"x2" Ipe frame? Might it cause splitting? Any advise would be welcome........
