My house was built in 1993 with a large two story open foyer. The front door needs to be replaced yesterday. However, we are hesitant because the moldings may be broken when removed. They are very wide moldings and match two closet moldings on either side of the door plus a very large window over the main door that goes clear up to the ceiling. The whole door and window combinations are a focal point for the house. So it is important to keep the moldings matched. Do moldings generally come off without breaking? These are painted moldings. Where would we find someone to make the moldings? So far, none of the door places can reproduce the molding and no one seems to have this molding in stock. Help
