Cute house! It looks very nice. I'm not sure it's any kind of a style, and that's a good thing! It has it's very own style, not pseudo anything. It's definitely got some personality, appealing proportions, pretty light.

What does the back look like? Is that your driveway?

A "farmhouse" interior may be compatible, but it likely depends on how extreme the "farmhouse" features are. If you like that style, I would do hints of it, and a fresh version, not reproduction. After all, the house exterior is not a reproduction, e.g. a "colonial".

Have you seen some photos on Houzz that are sort of what you're after?

It's not astyle. It's just a generic American vernacular house, like most houses. The builder probably ad-libbed the peaks over the windows as he built it.

Wonderful house! The little gables above the windows are cute. I think you could absolutely go with modern farmhouse. With 1x5 baseboards you may need to add wider door trim if it's the standard size.

Is that a photo of your hallway and staircase at the top? First thing I would do is rip out the wall that encloses the lower steps of the staircase. Otherwise, it looks DEAD.

The tile is much more of a barrier to "modern farmhouse" than is the exterior! Hammering up tile doesn't come cheap, but it's hard to imagine working around it...

I wouldn't worry about what to call it. If you like a more modern type of farmhouse look, this exterior is probably one of the easiest to make it look like one. Check out these pics and follow what they've done. Since you're getting new windows, look at doing the darker exterior color like black or a dark bronze, bring in some wood accents, and if you need a new roof at some point, look at metal.

as for the interior, love JudyG's design w/the wood entry. removing that wall and opening up the staircase w/that stair style would be perfect for the look you want.

Don’t worry about the “style” do the interior as you like there is no rule that says an interior has to match the exterior, If you like the modern farmhouse style get rid of the shutters and check out the pics Beth posted and then if you want you can carry that style to the interior but you don’t have to.But no textured wall sever and IMO shiplap is done to death

It’s definitely a take on Colonial - see the flat front, horizontal siding, symmetrical-ish windows, shape of the roof. There are elements that aren’t traditional Colonial but that’s okay. Farmhouse would be lovely in here. The commenters who recommend opening up the wall at the staircase are 200% right, that should be the first priority.
