Barcelona Chair designed by Mies van der Rohe, 1929...Knoll is licensed to manufacturer the chair...Design within Reach also carries it.

in addition, EVERYONE carries it. I might be a little cloudy on the exact details, but I believe that the patents on all of this early-mid 20th century furniture expires after 50 years. the net effect is that everyone and their dog copy the design and are actually not infringing on any rights. do be careful though if not buying from Knoll, quality on these knock off pieces runs the gamut from decent to deplorable
