I have no idea we used Dri-core and vinyl plank we love it.

As nice as it seems, you will need to ask the manufacturer of the FLOORING as to whether or not their floors are allowed over a dimpled subfloor. The advertisement world likes to tell you what their products can do. They don't tell you that it isn't up to them. It is up to the manufacturer of the flooring product.

The reason: Flatness and smothness rating. Dimpled subfloor products have a disadvantage...they have little holes ever few centimetres = nasty smothness rating (not smooth at all).

As much as I like the idea of these dimpled products, there are some issues with soft underlayment products (such as cork or foam) pushing into the cups and becoming useless. Some of the low grade foam underlayments (the white stuff from HD that is less than $0.20/sf) deteriorate with these dimples to the point of powder. Cork crumbles when laid over the dimples. That means if you paid money for a floor with an integrated cork (or nasty foam) underlayment, you will have lost money. The underpad will simply rub against the dimples and then deteriorate into a dust.

You will notice the Superseal membrane has MORE issues with flatness/smooth. They have positive (lumps) and negative (valleys) dimples...which begs the question as to why they would muck around with a great product (Delta FL, DMX are both variations on a theme) if it was already perfected?

Personally, I've seen awesome results with warmth and noise reduction using 6mil vapour barrier + Red Duct Tape (together = $0.11/sf) and 3mm or 6mm cork underlayment. Simple, cheap and effective.

Contact the flooring manufacturer before you purchase any of the dimpled membranes.
