I so want a Chinese loofa! May I recommend butternut squash which tastes waaaaay better than giant pumpkin. Much smaller, easier to handle and the taste superb!

I'm scared of the word Giant. I had 2 giant pumpkins and had to think hard of Plan B i.e. who to offload them to! In the end, a very hard up friend took one and we kept the other one. It rotted inside my hassian bag! Oooops!

Previously, gave one to my neighbour who has about 7 people living in that house. He was so put off that he said, NO MORE PUMPKIN! LOL!

Well, today, I must try sowing water melons. I sowed them too late and they were sweet but so small.

Cutting them is also a nightmare. I will only grow demure and small butternut squash - they are pure delice!

Yes, I love Lung an as well. We call them Quenepas in Puerto Rico. It's been years since I had them. They won't grow here in Ohio.

Not to worry! Judith! I am sooooo happy you know what Lung an is! Most people don't have a clue. I think it's far superior to Lychee. I wonder if I could keep it indoors. People managed to grow an avocado from a tree in Chelsea! There I have hope.
