Or marble on the wall????

I agree with mark_rachel -- the wood-look tile and marble are disparate looks that don't seem to pair well.

I also want to respectfully suggest that you be very careful about posting photos of your adorable baby in a public forum.

I actually don't mind the marble and wood-look together. Colours are nice and go together, both are matte finish. I say go for it. Note that the wood walls have a short shelf life, you won't like your wood wall in 5 years. Maybe 3.

It is hard to give additional information without seeing the space and the decor in the spaces surrounding your half bath. Your choices can work together, but you'll have to be careful about how you use them as the floor skews a bit towards "rustic", the marble "fancy", and the vanity traditional. It comes down to a personal choice.

I really appreciate the feedback from everybody. Several people have said that the wood and tile are a different style, which I totally understand. Is that a durability/maintenance issue or assuming that It will go out of style and or that my test will change (Both of which I do believe are important considerations!)

I do think the wood-look tile is a trend that will soon run its course. Oh, I personally like it, so don't get me wrong -- and if I wanted it in my own home, I'd just go ahead and have it. But I'd do so with the awareness that it's trendy, for sure.

I think wood look tile is less trendy for floors than it would be on a wall. Esp if you get wood tile that most closely mimics real wood floors. I actually think marble and marble look are being so overused that they are going to be what people become tired of (if you aren't already). It's going to be the granite of a few years ago that everyone HAD to have but now seems to be treated as if it's poison.

It's a half bath. The tile on the walls is totally unnecessary, and I agree with others that the wood look doesn't coordinate with the marble. Stick with the marble floors, the white cabinet, and the marble countertop. Then use the opportunity to paint the room a dramatic color instead.

Like I said in your other thread, it's already mostly out of style. It was big 3-5 years ago. Now even here in FL no one is choosing to put wood look tile in anymore.

Or find a stunning and bold wallpaper that is contemporary to tie it all together.

can you put wood walls in a steamy bath w/o them eventually buckling and twisting? Teak works well but I would pass on wood walls in a bathroom.

If you put marble on the floor it may stain where the toilet is, if there are males with poor aim. I've read some years ago where someone was having difficulty removing urine stain from the marble floor. Marble if very absorbent. I'd use porcelain marble look alike if it was me. Marble look on the floor is classic. The weathered wood look on the floor is a fashion trend IMHO.

I don’t do “wood look” anything, including tile, laminate or whatever. If I want something that looks like wood, I use wood.

The wood look tile does clash with the marble floors and white cabinets. If you want some texture on the wall (it's a half bath), how about a nice grasscloth wallpaper.

You may have already made your choices, but as a kitchen and bath design associate, wood walls are on there way out. Marble is classic and is beautiful for countertops, backsplash and floors, but I would choose between the floor and the countertop. There are some fabulous "luxury vinyl floors" that have a high quality wood-look. Stick with the counter top in marble and a waterproof, wood looking luxury vinyl for the floor and go with a marble backsplash or another pretty tile that is subtle and will enhance the marble. I'm sure it will be lovely!
