There’s nothing wrong with a good quality acrylic! All of the “stone composite“ are actually acrylic based. They’re more Corian than “stone”. So, there’s Acrylic, Composite, or Cast Iron. Cast iron is the traditional material, and Kohler is the only quality player on that field. Most composites are imports, and overpriced. Good acrylic from Kohler, American Standard, etc, is still a good choice.

Any one of those will be a good choice, from a good company. Especially if they don’t get used. Most never get used. They are installed for visual appearance only. Which is sad.

I’m very happy with my Kohler acrylic Underscore drop-in tub. It’s used once a week or so. Sometimes a little less often. We considered cast iron but I found this one and got to sit in it a Fergusons. I like the slanted back.
